GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE

With a cool look interface, sizeable windows and easy customization, VRT is the ultimate tool for translating the *.RC and *.DLG files of your MS-Windows application.

CONTEXT SENSITIVE TRANSLATION

Translate directly in the application context (dialogs, menus, string, tables, etc.). With VRT, translate directly the texts in the ComboBoxes (ComboBoxExes) and ListBoxes defined in the resource files.

DIALOG BOX EDITOR

Customize the interface for each language with a powerful dialog box editor. VRT enables you to resize dialog boxes and their contents, resize automatically the controls, carry out alignment and allocate the same size to a group of controls. If you are rearranging a dialog box, guides and grids can help you align controls accurately.
You can Undo and Redo operations one by one (size, position, alignment, etc.) and compare the interface styles between languages with a simple click.

BOOKMARKS

Mark texts with labeled bookmarks. Bookmarks are transmitted to translators in sub-projects, and when sub-projects are integrated, modified bookmarks are retrieved as of answers.

CONSISTENCY CHECK

Ensure that all menu items have an associated on line help text, and that there are no inconsistent keyboard-shortcuts on menu items.

TRANSLATE BY LIST

Translate directly from a list of texts with a preview of the resources.

RESULTS PREVIEW

Texts in the code view are shown with syntax coloring. Texts for translation are shown in a customizable color and texts already translated in another one.

STATISTICS

VRetrieve project statistics by language or resource file. VRT tells you the number of lines, texts to be translated as well as already translated texts. Check visually for each language: translated texts, read-only texts or carrying bookmarks.
